Carrying a couple of disposable camera with me on this trip, I managed to capture some of the most precious moments to tell my journey throughout the capital city of China, Beijing.

Mu Tian Yu Great Wall 慕田峪长城

Mutianyu Great Wall in Winter

Totally worth all the hassle getting to this place. I took the chairlift up and the scenery was already breathtaking. And the toboggan slide way was so much fun! I seriously want to go back Mutianyu just for the toboggan if I have the chance to.

Jing Shan Park 景山公园

Sunrise over Jing Shan Park

The place where I got up super early and watched sunrise over the forbidden city. I remembered it was freezing and I couldn’t feel my toes. Not even kidding. But I know I underdressed for Beijing weather because I didn’t know what to expect.

Old Beijing Yogurt drink 老北京酸奶

A local provision store

See those overexposed white clay bottles? These are one of my favourite thing in China. You can bring the bottles back at a higher price compared to if you drink on the spot and leave the bottle behind. You can find these yogurt drinks at other cities too, the tastes are similar.

Temple of Heaven 天壇

Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest located inside Temple of Heaven

I got to say this is the most beautiful attraction I have visited in Beijing. The skies were literally so blue and this building is called hall of prayer for good harvest. It is far bigger than what I expected. The narration is provided in Mandarin in the hall and there are museums explaining the history of some rituals performed in the past.

Also inside the temple of heaven, this place is called the circular mound altar. It is designed to amplify the voice of the emperor.

Capital Museum 首都博物馆

If you would like to learn more about Chinese history, this is the one museum to visit. It’s free of charge if you book your tickets in advance.

Taken with Kodak disposable camera.
